Narcotics Control Act (NO.2) B.E. 2534 (1991)

His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej is graciously pleased to proclaim that:
Where it is expedient to amend the Narcotics Control Act;
Be it , therefore, enacted by the King, by and with the advice and consent of the National Legislative Assembly as follows:
Some important sections in the Act are as follows:
This act is called "Narcotics Control Act (No.2) B.E. 2534 (1991)."
This act shall come into force as from the day following the date of its publication in the Government Gazette.
The definition of the words "narcotics" and "narcotic laws" in section 3 of the Narcotics Control Act B.E. 2519 [1)] (1976) shall be repealed and the following shall be used instead;
" Narcotics" means narcotics of the Narcotics Acts, [2)] psychotropic substances of the Psychotropic Substances Act [3)] and volatile substances of the Emergency Decree against the Use of Volatile Substances.
Narcotics Laws" means the Narcotics Acts, the Psychotropic substances Acts, the Emergency Decree against the Use of Volatile Substances and the Act on Measures for the Suppression of Offenders against the Laws Relating to Narcotics. [4)]
Section 14 paragraph (2) of the Narcotics Control Act B.E. 2519 (1976) shall be repealed and the following shall be used instead;
(2) to search any dwelling, place or person in the case where there is a reasonable ground to suspect that there are narcotics illegally hidden therein or thereon, to seize of attach narcotics or any other property derived from, used or to be used in the commission of offence under the narcotic laws or to be used as evidence therein;"
